The longest stainless steel bridge in the world has been completed

The construction work on the world longest cross-sea bridge, which connects Zhuhai in Guangdong Province with Hong Kong and Macao, has been completed and 400,000 tons of stainless steel have been used. The bridge is 22,9 km long and were built also undersea tunnels and two artificial islands, to support that, were realized 5200 pillars and is expected to be operational for the next 120 years. It was designed to withstand earthquakes up to eight degrees of magnitude and the hypothetical impact of a 300 thousand ton ship.
